PCHP Benefits Update: Changes to Behavioral Health Services

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. That’s why PCHP gives members access to providers and resources that help them manage their mental health and get alcohol and drug use under control.

On September 1, 2025, PCHP is changing the way your behavioral health services (services aimed at supporting mental health and substance use service needs) are managed. Your benefits aren’t changing. PCHP still has you covered!

How will this change affect you? See below for some commonly asked questions – and answers!

Yes! On September 1, only the management of your behavioral health services will change. If you have received behavioral health services as a member of PCHP, you probably visited a provider from Carelon Behavioral Health’s provider network. On or after September 1, you will visit providers from the PCHP network instead. If you currently have a Service Coordinator from Carelon, we will make sure you continue to have service coordination through PCHP.

Probably not. We are working closely with Carelon providers to add them to the PCHP network.

  • If your Carelon provider joins the PCHP network, you will not have to change your provider.
  • If any provider changes are needed, we will provide special support to help you get the care you need. You will be able to see your current provider until a new provider is found.

Yes. PCHP will send you a new ID card by September 1, 2025, that includes your new behavioral health information.
