STAR For pregnant women, children, and anyone who gets TANF.
CHIP For children age 18 and under who are not eligible for Medicaid and don’t have health coverage.
CHIP Perinate For unborn children of pregnant women who are not eligible for Medicaid and don’t have health coverage.

Working Together for Better Outcomes
Parkland Community Health Plan was started in 1999 by Parkland Health & Hospital System as a managed care organization to provide services for Texas Medicaid STAR and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) recipients.
Our service area covers Dallas, Collin, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall counties, where members can seek care at more than 6,000 doctors and specialists and over 40 hospitals and urgent care centers.
Available from 8 am to 5 pm CST, Monday - Friday (except state holidays). Leave a voice message during non-business hours and on weekends. TTY 2-1-1. Members can get oral interpretation services and information in other formats, another language or format including audio, Braille, or large print free of charge.
Our 24-hour Nurse Line gives you fast, free medical advice, anytime day or night. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

Beacon Health Options is here to help you with behavioral health treatment for depression, anxiety, marriage and family problems, or alcohol and drug abuse. English/Spanish interpreter services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Members age 20 and younger can get dental benefits through a dental managed care organization. Call your dental plan to find a dentist and learn about covered services:

If you disagree with the health plan’s decision, you can ask for a state fair hearing. You must ask for a fair hearing within 150 days of the date on the health plan’s appeal resolution letter. Call Member Services at 1-888-672-2277.
