All About Pyx Health

Have you been through a major health event recently, like being pregnant or having a medical or mental health emergency? You may be feeling stressed – especially if you don’t have family or friends nearby to help.

Whether you’re pregnant, a new mom, recovering from a trip to the emergency room, or experiencing stress and loneliness, everyone can use a little extra support. That’s why Parkland Community Health Plan is happy to offer the free Pyx Health program to our members age 18 and older.

Pyx Health can offer a friendly, positive presence in your day. You’ll interact with Pyxir, a digital “friend,” through a series of chats. These chats can help you deal with stressful situations and offer support when you need it most.

The app also includes fun activities to help you relax, tips on how to live a healthy life – and even a few jokes to make you smile. The resource menu has helpful links to helplines, food banks, housing assistance, and more.

Pyx Health also offers phone and direct message support with trained health care mentors who understand where you’re coming from. They can connect you with health plan resources, or help you find a ride to the doctor or access to healthy food. They can also connect you with PCHP’s Member Relations team and 24/7 Nurse Line. Mentors are there to listen, too, if you just need to talk.
