Upcoming Changes to Your Behavioral Health Services
Starting September 1, 2025, Parkland Community Health Plan (PCHP) will manage behavioral health services for our members. Until August 31, 2025, these services are managed by Carelon Behavioral Health.
What does this mean for me?
You do not need to do anything now. This change will not occur until September 1.
Will I have access to the same doctors, counselors, and providers?
We are doing our best to add all Carelon providers who serve PCHP members to our network. If your Carelon provider joins the PCHP network, you can still visit your provider after September 1. If your Carelon provider does not join our network, we will help you get the care you need from a network doctor. Your care plan will not be interrupted.
Will my benefits change?
No. You will continue to have the same behavioral health benefits.
How will this change affect my care plan?
Starting September 1, your mental health and physical health will be managed together, by one care team at PCHP. This should make your care experience easier. If you have Service Coordination needs, our expert care team is available to help you.
What should I do if I need to make a behavioral health appointment?
For now, if you need behavioral health services, call Carelon Behavioral Health at 1-800-945-4644 or schedule appointments as usual with your Carelon provider.
Who can I call if I have questions about this change?
Call PCHP at 1-888-672-2277 (STAR) or 1-888-814-2352 (CHIP) or call TTY: 7-1-1. We are here to help!
