12 months of care after pregnancy
If you were pregnant within the past 12 months, and you received Medicaid or CHIP benefits during your pregnancy, you can now keep those benefits for a year after your pregnancy ends.
Caring for a baby while you recover from pregnancy can be hard. Healthy Texas Women offers these extended benefits to help you get—and stay—as healthy as possible.
You do not need to apply to have your coverage extended. Healthy Texas Women will contact you by mail or through Your Texas Benefits, if you have an account.
