How to Get Started

If we have our phone number on file, we will start texting you personalized messages from Parkland Community Health Plan. To get started:

  1. Click the link in the text message.
  2. Enter the member's date of birth.
  3. Now you are receiving texts from PCHP! Most messages will include a link that takes you to a personalized channel with more information. From there, you can view checkup reminders, important health information, benefit details, and more.

Just make sure to tap the link in each text within 72 hours. Once you’re in your personalized channel, you can scroll through your message history to find older messages.

What types of messages will I receive?

We’ll send you plan information, checkup reminders, rewards and value-added services information, program updates, benefit details, health tips, upcoming events, and more.

How do I know the message is from Parkland Community Health Plan (PCHP)?

Our messages will always come from 68471. Add our number to your contact list so you’ll know that it’s us.

Are these messages safe?

Yes. We use security measures to protect your personal information. We send our messages through Relay, a secure messaging platform. Your privacy is very important to us.

How long can I access a text?

The link in each text message is active for 72 hours after you get it. If you try to tap the link after 72 hours, it will say it’s expired. To get a new link, tap the resend button.

Can I access texts if I don’t have a smartphone?

No. You can only open the link on a smart device. Your device must be linked to a mobile number with SMS messaging.

Can I opt out of text messages?

Yes. You can opt out any time. To stop getting text messages from us, go to the most recent text and reply STOP.
Note: Replying STOP will close this communication channel for any updates or messages until you opt back in.
