In order to become a member of Parkland HEALTHfirst or Parkland KIDSfirst, you must first apply for STAR (Medicaid) or CHIP through Texas Health and Human Services. Once you are enrolled in STAR or CHIP, you can select Parkland HEALTHfirst or Parkland KIDSfirst as your health plan.
